Hanoi Goethe Institute to host archaeological seminar

Hanoi Goethe Institute hosts an international archaeology seminar from February 29 to March 2 in Hanoi.
The purpose of the event is to prepare for Vietnam’s large-scale exhibition on the archaeology of Thang Long Imperial Citadel to be convened in Germany in 2014 and 2015.
The seminar will host 22 discussions on the background of Vietnam’s archaeology from the Stone Age to the pre-modern era. Experts and researchers will present historical scientific and archaeological issues via many different aspects.
The focus of the event will be on Dong Son Culture in northern provinces, Sa Huynh Culture in the central region and Oc Eo Culture in the south. There will also be a report on the latest research on Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the state of Dai Viet.
The event is co-organized by German partners, the Cultural Heritage Agency, the National Museum of History and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at Hanoi Goethe Institute at 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street.
