Venues for Women’s Day celebrations

International Women’s Day is marked on March 8 every year, a day of global celebration for the economic, political and social contributions and achievements of women. To celebrate this meaningful day for women, hotels, restaurants and tourist areas in HCMC, under Saigontourist Holding Company, offer many culinary and entertainment programs.

De Nhat Hotel (1 Hoang Viet Street, Tan Binh District, tel: 3844 1199)

At the hotel’s Hoa Su I Restaurant, a program called “For my Beloved Woman” will be hosted from 7 p.m. on March 7 in a romantic space filled with candle light and flowers. The party will serve many outstanding dishes, including national prize winners, prepared by chef Do Quang Long such as wrapped shrimp, seafood stuffed turkey, abalone braised with mushroom, fried clam rice and wine-stewed peaches.Vị trí đặt quảng cáo

Ladies can also enjoy music and dance shows, comedy performances, a fashion show of designer Viet Hung, fun games and gifts from Elizzer Cosmetics sponsored by Thy Long. Tickets are VND330,000 per adult and VND 170,000 per child.

Majestic Hotel (1 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3829 5517)

The hotel’s Serenade will hold “Ladies Night” featuring European dishes accompanied with everlasting songs. Tickets are US$50 per male guest and US$35 per female guest, inclusive of wine and fruit juice for women. Children are half price.

Grand Hotel (8 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3829 4046)

A buffet of outstanding dishes will be hosted at Chez-Nous Restaurant at noon on Sunday. Tickets are VND120,000 per adult and VND80,000 per child.

Palace Saigon (55-66 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, tel: 3829 2860)

The hotel’s Golden Palace Restaurant will prepare buffet programs with many seafood dishes. Tickets are VND200,000 per adult and VND150,000 per child for buffet lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., VND300,000 per adult and VND250,000 per child for buffet dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for bookings before March 6. Groups of ten or more will get a 10% discount and groups of 20 or more will get a free cake.

Continental Hotel (132-134 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3829 4471)

Guests will have a wonderful day with a buffet program at the hotel’s Continental Patio with many European and Asian dishes accompanied by attractive artistic programs. Tickets are VND350,000 per adult and VND250,000 per child. Cocktails and drinks are free.

Thanh Binh 2 Hotel (15 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Tan Binh District, tel: 3971 5158)

The hotel’s Cherry Restaurant is ideal for specialties of the central region. A buffet will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 8 at VND120,000 per person.

Bat Dat Hotel (238 Tran Hung Dao B Street, District 5, HCMC, tel: 3855 1662)

A buffet featuring 40 Vietnamese and Chinese dishes at the hotel’s Bat Dat Restaurant from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 8 will be animated with a lucky draw and many fun games. Tickets are VND219,000 per adult and VND149,000 per child, inclusive of drinks. Advance purchases of ten or more tickets will get one free ticket and a free cocktail for each lady.

Ngoc Lan Hotel (293 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, District 11, tel: 3865 7588)

A buffet program of 40 select dishes will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 7 including a wedding fashion show. Tickets are VND220,000 per adult and VND120,000 per child. The hotel offers a 10% discount for three day advance purchases and a free ticket for purchases of ten or more tickets.

Tan Cang Tourist Area (A100 Ung Van Khiem Street, Binh Thanh District, tel: 3512 8775)

A hotpot and grill buffet will be hosted from 7 p.m. on March 8 for a chance to sample 60 dishes and dance to the Flamenco band. Tickets are VND250,000 per adult and VND140,000 per child. Women get a 20% discount and guests who buy ten or more tickets will get one free.
