Dong Son Fine Arts Joint Stock Company in Hanoi held a launching ceremony to start the casting of one thousand bronze dragons as souvenirs for participants of the Thang Long-Hanoi millennium anniversary.

Each dragon will be cast in traditional method to a weight of 3-3.5 kilograms and with gemstone eyes.Vị trí đặt quảng cáo

The statues will present specific features of Vietnamese fine arts and culture. Especially, each statue will be numbered and come with a certificate stating its origin and value to make sure the products are limited editions and have been copyright registered.

To complete the design, the organizers sought advice from leading Vietnamese historians and sculptors, while also devoting a lot of time to researching ancient documents.

The works are scheduled for completion in September and will be sold online or auctioned for charity, in which a part of the proceeds will be used to preserve cultural works in Hanoi.
