The Binh Thuan Province government has approved a project to build a stone embankment along the sea at a tourism site in Tan Thuan Commune, Ham Thuan Nam District with VND43.7 billion drawn from the local budget and Government funds.

This stone embankment will protect coastal residences, the tourist site, aquaculture and salt fields. The embankment is to be 1,350 meters in length and tall enough to provide protection. The project includes pavements and a drainage system to the sea. It is estimated that construction will begin early next year and be completed by 2013.
