HCMC Book Fair to open in town

The bi-annual HCMC Book Fair will take place at Le Van Tam Park in HCMC’s District 1 from March 15 to 21.
This 6th book fair will gather 150 domestic and foreign publishers with over 470 bookstalls to display and sell over 200,000 titles, 74 stalls more than the fair in 2008. Each book will be offered at a 10% discount.
Sideline activities will include a discussion with authors, English festivals for elementary students organized by languages centers and a painting competition called Loving Colors for children from city orphanages. Aiming to celebrate the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, the fair will also display books and documents with themes related to Vietnam and Uncle Ho.
