A sculpture exhibition called 5PLUS opened on Tuesday at Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi. The exhibition is organized by artists Le Thi Hien, Mai Thu Van, Khong Do Tuyen, Le Lang Luong and Tran Trong Tri with the same strong points of mounding bronze, gilding silver and sticking gold.
Visiting the exhibition, visitors can sense diverse changes of dimension blocks in space via the installation work “Diversity” by Le Thi Hien. The work may not always bring viewers a message but simply shows them varied movements of a day.
Mai Thu Van brings to the exhibition a bronze mounding work showing off the contrast of women’s souls together with loneliness and outside beauty.
Meanwhile, Le Lang Luong’s striking “Man of Straw” is not simply a scarecrow to protect the field from birds but characters who witness cultural changes from agricultural to industrial civilization.
“Man of Straw” imprints images of miserable farmers but also images of lazy farmers when suddenly their land turns into an abundant amount of money due to modern investment projects.
Visitors will have a chance to sense mixture and harmony between the works of each artist with each style. The event runs till March 8.
