Golf To Bring Light To Vision-Impaired People
On July 31, Saigontourist Golf Tournament 2010 will be held at the East Course of Thu Duc Golf Course to mark Saigontourist Holding Company’s 35th anniversary (August 1, 1975-August 1, 2010)
The dinner party and award ceremony will take place at 6: 30 p.m. at the Ball Room of Caravelle Hotel.
Last year, about 152 golfers took part in this tournament. This year, the tournament also attracts the same number of golfers, comprising consuls general, Vietnamese and international business persons, who are Saigontourist’s partners.
The prizes include two Mercedes C200 CGI sedans for “Hole-In-One” prizes of holes 8 and 17 sponsored by Vegas Club, four coupons worth VND200 million each or discounts of VND500 million for SunRise apartments sponsored by Novaland Real Estate Company.
Other prizes include Best Gross, Near Pin and Long Drive. Those winning such prizes will receive trophies and valuable gifts.
In addition, there is a lucky draw with many valuable prizes such as LCD television sets, air tickets, shopping vouchers and tours. The first prize is tour tickets for two persons on five-star Star Cruise ship worth VND49 million, sponsored by Saigontourist Travel Service Company.
Saigontourist Golf Tournament 2010 has raised VND700 million for eye surgeries for 1,000 poor patients. With the enthusiasm support from Saigontourist’s affiliates and partners, Saigontourist has raised VND2.5 billion through five golf tournaments. All the proceeds have been sent to the HCM City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients to give free treatment for poor patients.

Every year, in addition to fund raising through Saigontourist Golf Tournament, Saigontourist Holding Company spends VND8 billion on social and charitable activities in “Saigontourist for The Community” program.
