US$340,000 donated for heart surgeries for kids
Some fourteen Vietnamese artists auctioned forty two of their photos to donate money to give free heart surgeries to 100 kids with heart disease. The artists collected US$170,000 from the auction and donations of organizations and individuals at the event. Another US$170,000 was donated by Vina Capital Foundation. This event was part of Heartbeat Vietnam, the fund for lifesaving heart surgery for poor children in Vietnam which started in 2006.
