A treat for every taste at World Food Festival

Festival goers queue at the food booth of Kom Tum Province to enjoy barbeque – Highland style
Visitors ate their fill at the  food festival on Thursday in Vung Tau. The festival held in Vietnam for the first time, featuring five themes – food, culture, festivity, shopping and relaxation has food from 31 local provinces and cities and 31 nations and territories around the world. Tourists enjoyed the atmosphere, experienced fantastic tastes and discovered new cultures. Ethnic products from every corner of the globe were also on sale.

Ms. Toti, a farmer from Hungary, shows a tourist how to weave using stalks of wheat. She said Hungarian farmers used to make these small decorations for Christmas or New Year. She brought 15 kilos of wheat stalks from her country to take part in the festival.
Hereunder are some photos by The Saigon Times Daily’s reporter Tuong Vi.

At the German food booth, two tourists pose for a photo with a model of the world’s first car made in 1886. The car is a product of Mercedes Benz Vietnam.
