About 30,000 local and foreign visitors from around the country flocked to the Festival of the Temple of Princess Huyen Tran at Huyen Tran Cultural Center, 151 Thien Thai Street, An Tay Ward, Hue City on February 21 and 22.
This was one of the events of Thua Thien Hue Province honoring the Millennium Anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
The festival featured a display of fine art works, a calligraphy exhibition, an exhibition of paintings made by children about environment protection, food programs, martial arts performances, flower display contests and folk games.
The festival is held annually on the ninth day of lunar January to show gratitude to Princess Huyen Tran for her dedication to the country. About seven kilometers from the center of Hue City, Huyen Tran Cultural Center is located at the foot of Ngu Phong Mountain on over 28-hectares. It is famous as a sanctuary for pilgrims to express love and gratitude to Princess Huyen Tran of the Tran Dynasty.
