International Kite Festival to take flight in Vung Tau

Vung Tau City will hold the 2nd International Kite Festival from March 24 to 29 with the participation of kite teams from 26 countries.
“This year, the theme of the kite festival is Legend of a Thousand Years with kite performances, exhibitions, kite competitions and kite art performances at night with a colorful lights system,” said Tran Tuan Viet, member of the organizing committee.
This international festival will include a smaller scale kite festival of Southeastern Vietnam with seven teams from the provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa and HCMC, and a performance of 1,000 kites towards the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
