A buffet served at Kim Do Hotel in HCMC
On the occasion of the Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), Saigontourist-owned hotels and restaurants in HCMC are offering new food programs

KIM DO HOTEL (133 Nguyen Hue Blvd., Dist. 1, HCMC. Tel: 08.38225914)

From 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on April 30, Kim Do Hotel’s King Hall will hold food and entertainment program themed “Summer Melody” featuring special activities for gastronomes such as a buffet with over 60 authentic southern dishes, BBQ delicacies and prawns along with folk games. The “Cook Show” program by professional chefs of the hotel will show guests how to make nutritional foods for the summer. A music gala with summer songs, dances and magic shows will be performed on an open stage. The hotel’s bartenders will perform and show guests the recipes for summer drinks. Those enjoying food promotions at the hotel will have chances to win a lucky draw with many valuable gifts. Admissions are VND899,000/adult and VND599,000/child. Those buying 10 tickets will get one free ticket, and buying six will get a half ticket.

LIBERTY CENTRAL HOTEL (179 Le Thanh Ton St., Dist. 1, HCMC. Tel: 08.38239269)

This month, Central Restaurant selects mangrove red snapper as the main course to introduce to guests. This kind of sea fish often inhabits near rocky cliffs. Its flesh is tasty, sweet and nutritious. The fish can be grilled, steamed with lemon leaves or cooked with pepper. In summer, guests will have unforgettable feelings when tasting grilled snapper fillet dipped in the opulence of spices added with lemon creamy sauce, and served with garlic fried rice, while sipping a glass of cold white wine.

Liberty cocktails will be served at the hotel’s Bistro Café Lounge, a contemporary space with fine music. Flavors of fresh apples and lemons mixed with calvados wine of Liberty cocktail will cool down muggy summer days.

The “Homeland Flavors” program will take place from April 27 to May 1. Those enjoying the lunch buffet and weekend seafood buffet at Level 9 Restaurant will be offered free flows of soft drinks and a glass of Tiger Draught beer. A group of 15 persons and above will get a complimentary wine bottle or a cream cake, which is suitable for celebrating birthday parties. Those booking before April 25 will enjoy a discount of 10%. On April 27, 30 and May 1, each guest will be offered a free-of-charge slipper lobster.

A Vietnamese buffet will take place from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 30 at Starlight Restaurant on the 11th floor, featuring 35 selective Vietnamese dishes such as chicken grilled in bamboo tube and sea crab steamed with salt. Guests will get free flows of wine, draft beer, soft drinks, fruit juice and ice-cream. Admissions are VND600,000/adult and VND350,000/child.

BAT DAT HOTEL (238 Tran Hung Dao St., Dist. 5, HCMC. Tel: 08.38578252)

From 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 30 and May 1, Bat Dat Restaurant will run a hot pot buffet featuring over 40 delicacies such as nutritional hot pot, pork ribs grilled with soya cheese, prawns sauced with sesame and chicken wings fried with oyster sauce, among others. There is also a “singing together” program. Admissions are VND250,000/adult and VND150,000/child, including a glass of cocktail. Those booking 10 tickets before April 30 will receive a free one. Tickets are delivered to your door.

FIRST HOTEL (18 Hoang Viet St., Tan Binh Dist., HCMC. Tel: 08.38441199)

Hoa Su 1 Restaurant from 6:30 p.m. on April 30 will have a buffet with over 40 mouthwatering dishes of the northern, central and southern regions, together with music shows, circus, magic shows and a lucky draw with interesting gifts. Admissions are VND385,000/adult and VND200,000/child.

QUE HUONG-LIBERTY HOTEL 2 (129 Ham Nghi St., Dist. 1, HCMC. Tel: 08.38217022)

“Grill Flavors” food promotion features a menu of unique grilled dishes such as tiger catfish grilled with tamarind sauce, river marbled eel grilled with salt and chili, salamander grilled with ginger leaves, calves grilled with citronella leaves, and so on. Delicious grilled dishes will awake the taste of gourmets. Guests will receive a complimentary appetizer and a discount of 10% on each bill on the weekend.
