The Rose Garden Restaurant on the ground floor of the Rex Hotel Saigon has launched its ‘Happy with the beers’ promotion. With this promotion customers can enjoy a free flow of beers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for VND200,000++ per person. Rose Garden serves grilled specialties Western-style and a wide selection of famous global beers.
From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Wednesdays at the Rooftop Garden Bar on the fifth floor, the hotel will host a ‘Ladies’ Nite’ program, allowing female guests to freely enjoy a glass of cocktail or mocktail made by professional bartenders.
The bar also introduces cocktail of the month, offering delights such as John Collins, Margarita, Singapore Sling, Mojito, Smile Saigon and Hello Saigon. Cocktails will be changed monthly and begin from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Famous for its ‘Five o’clock follies’, the Rooftop Garden Bar was a favorite rendezvous of senior U.S. military officers and war correspondents in the 1960s. John Evan, a U.S. veteran, said after a return to the Rex, “The Rex looks just the same. The hotel still lies in the heart of the city with the Rooftop Garden Bar on the top floor. As a U.S. veteran looking for memories, there’s no better place than the Rex.” Rooftop Garden Bar was described extravagantly by U.S. writer Patricia Schultz in her article as one of the ‘1,000 places to see before you die’. In 1996, Newsweek magazine voted it the best bar lounge in Southeast Asia. In 2009, website www.cnngo.com selected Rooftop Garden Bar as one of the 30 best bars in the world. This is why many international tourists rush to the Rex as a must-visit destination before leaving Vietnam.
