American beef ribs is a hugely popular dish for western and Asian diners but if it is done Korean-style it is a rather strange experience for Saigonese.
When making this dish you mix the ribs with fruit juice and Korean spices to soften the meat before rolling the ribs and placing them in the fridge for a short period in order that the spices can be absorbed into the meat.
Then you grill the ribs, turning them over a number of times to ensure they are well done. The dish will be served with vegetables, garlic, chili, carrot, cucumber, lettuce and kimchi. The meal is a delight due to the succulent beef taste and fragrance of vegetables as well as the tasty Korean sauce.
