Jordan Vogt-Roberts, director of the movie “Kong: Skull Island” with some scenes filmed in the central province of Quang Binh, has returned to the province to explore two popular caves – Phong Nha and Son Doong. The images of Vietnam could be promoted to the world when the movie makes its debut in March, reports Sai Gon Giai Phong.

Phuong Nam to hold two-month Japan circus program

Phuong Nam art theater will cooperate with Happy Dream Circus to host Japanese circus shows from December 23 to February 19 at Gia Dinh Park in Go Vap District, HCMC. The program is aimed to promote friendship and cultural ties between Vietnam and Japan. Fourteen artists from Venezuela, Argentina, Columbia, Mexico, Ecuador, Cuba, Russia, and Japan and 30 others from HCMC will be joining the program which will feature two to three performance sessions a day. People who buy tickets in advance will get a 20% discount.

Miss Vietnam 2012 Dang Thu Thao performs a creation in the latest haute couture collection named “Lam Vu” for Spring-Summer 2017 season by designer Le Thanh Hoa at a fashion show which was held at the HCMC Museum of Fine Arts on Monday. The show attracted nearly 300 guests despite of a heavy rain. This was the first time Dang Thu Thao paraded on a catwalk since her victory at Miss Vietnam contest in 2012. The three-part show featured ready-to-wear designs with haute couture standards. Hoa created meticulously hand-made embroidered patterns to bring the elegance and impressiveness to the whole collection.
