Rice export prices in the second half of this year have been forecast to decline despite impressive outbound sales in the first six months. A Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development report said the country exported around 604,000 tons of rice worth US$317 million last month, taking the total in the first six months of the year to 3.6 million tons valued at US$1.8 billion, up 24.6% in volume and 42.4% in value year-on-year.
