Saigonese flock to General Saint Tran festival

The spring festival honoring the General Saint Tran Hung Dao kicked off at 36 Vo Thi Sau Street in District 3 on Wednesday, with hundreds of people coming to pray for health, prosperity and happiness. Tran Hung Dao, a brilliant general under the Tran Dynasty (1225-1400) defended the country from Mongolian invaders for a number of years. The event finishes on Tuesday.
