Vietnamese-Canadian choreographer John Huy Tran will hold the first live show ‘Song – Life is a Game’ to share his dream and the way to make dreams come true in Hoa Binh Theater at 8 p.m. on October 4.

The show is directed by the choreographer and artist Linh Rateau in collaboration with young choreographers and dancers of Urban Dance Group.

“The show is dedicated to those who have a dream or profound passion for anything, who are working towards success or have gained success as well as anyone who struggles or struggled with challenges,” John said in a press briefing of the show. He also added that the show will be a fusion of street styles with genres of jazz, contemporary and even some ballet in order that audiences can easily sense life as a game worth playing and winning.

“I am a dreamer; I dream when I sleep and even when I am up. I will tell my dream in dance moves and all the participating artists will also tell their own dreams to inspire audiences to chase their dreams down,” the choreographer said. Therefore, unlike normal music shows, the show will be narratives that are linked together.

Dance repertoires will focus on the idea that life is a game. “In that life we can play, can lose or win but can also learn experiences and lessons to make the right choice and to grow up,” he said. The show will depict the urban life of Saigon that audiences can see themselves in that scene.

Audiences will be also entertained by the talent of singer My Tam, Phuong Vy, beat box artist Mr.T, hip hop troupe Vietmax and Ha Le. Moreover, The Saigon Projects will also bring graffiti – an art genre of writing or drawings that have been scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place - to the show.

The show is co-organized by Dancenter and Lys Events with sponsor of Gameloft Vietnam.
