Three lifeguard trainers from the Australian Lifesaving Academy Queensland on Tuesday concluded an advanced aquatic and lifeguard training course for 40 lifeguards of the management board of Nha Trang Bay.

According to the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, the weeklong training program was implemented by the authority of Nha Trang City in partnership with the Australian Government to provide the trainees with the vital knowledge they need to provide first aid and save lives.

As a member of the Surf Life Saving Queensland, one of the largest volunteer-based community service organizations in Australia, the Australian Lifesaving Academy Queensland delivers emergency care and lifesaving training programs to lifesaving staff and the community as well.

Nha Trang in the central province of Khanh Hoa is famous for its pristine white sand beaches, pure sea water, stunning islands and interesting sightseeing spots, so it is one of Vietnam’s top sea attractions, with huge numbers of local and international tourists coming.

According to data from Khanh Hoa Province’s Department of Tourism, hotels and other lodging facilities of the province, more than 3.8 million visitors came to the province in the first seven months of this year, with most of them to Nha Trang, a 20% year-on-year pickup.
