Sofitel Saigon Plaza in downtown HCMC has picked Frenchman Stephane Postoyan as executive chef to oversee the operation of all food outlets at the hotel including L’Olivier, the hotel’s signature French restaurant, Mezz buffet restaurant, the Boudoir Lounge and Gourmand Shop.

Born in the village of Bourgoin-Jallieu, Postoyan has more than 20 years of experience in working at big restaurants in the U.S., France and New Zealand. Before heading to the five-star Sofitel Saigon Plaza, he served as executive chef at Sofitel Queenstown Hotel &Spa in New Zealand.

Diners will have the opportunity to talk with the newly-appointed chef and learn about his cooking art and French culinary culture at La Magnifique French Week scheduled to take place from January 15 to 21 at Mezz Restaurant on level 2 of the hotel.
