Photo exhibition on South Central and Central Highlands regions

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) in coordination with the Arts and Literature Association of Quang Ngai Province opened a photo exhibition on the people and nature of South Central and Central Highlands regions in Ba To Park on May 9, the Government news website reports.

The exhibition featured more than 180 pictures taken by photographers from 10 cities and provinces, showcasing the natural beauty of the Central Highlands with imposing waterfalls and forests, the daily life of people in the South Central region, and their achievements in economic development, culture, science and tourism in recent years.

Addressing the opening ceremony, VAPA vice chairman Pham Van Ty said the aesthetic quality of the photos exhibited has improved through 23 editions of the exhibition. The event honored the hardworking, creativity and the love for nature and people’s daily life of the photographers, thus contributing to the country’s photography development.

On the occasion, the organizing board awarded a gold medal to Mai Thanh Chuong from Quang Nam Province for his photo titled “Du Lich Sinh Thai” (Eco-tourism), and three silver medals to “Sam hoi o Son My” (Repentance in Son My) by Nguyen Dang Lam, “Dam Cuoi Que” (Rural wedding) by Nguyen Tan Cu and “Deu Tay” (Skillful hands) by Ngo Thanh Binh.
