HCMC - Japan-based ChatWork Company, Ltd., on June 12 launched the ChatWork app, which boasts myriad features including text messaging regardless of internet connectivity, phone calls, video calls, and file sharing for all file formats. The app targets Vietnamese firms, facilitating their management and operation.

ChatWork’s high security standards help people connect with each other within corporate environments, among departments, and they can even interact or work with their partners and clients outside the firm, resulting in a productivity increase and cost savings.

According to Duong Hoang Anh Nguyen, vice chairman for market development, many Japanese companies have used the ChatWork app over the years, with the number of users reaching some 45,000 people. ChatWork wants to introduce the app to all Vietnamese firms, especially those in partnership with Japan, Nguyen told the Daily on the sidelines of a business roundtable held by ChatWork with the participation of Vietnamese enterprises.

Notably, the app can be applied to all fields, ranging from legal counseling, finance and accounting to manufacturing and business, stated Nguyen. Individuals using the app will pay a monthly fee of VND90,000 (US$4) per account, and VND115,000 is charged per corporate account.

Fujii Sou, a lawyer and director of the law firm First & Tandem Spint, shared his experience using ChatWork to provide legal counsel, saying the app helps him interact conveniently with clients anywhere and at any time. This allows him to satisfy his passion for traveling and complete his work at the same time. For instance, last year, he spent 111 days living overseas but managed to give advice to 70 clients and earned over 90 million Japanese yen (US$813,000) in revenue.

ChatWork was launched seven years ago in Japan and is currently used by 178,000 firms in every corner of the globe.
