DANANG - Visitors and locals in Danang City can now use Zalo and Chatbot apps to stay abreast of upcoming tourism events and activities in the city. Zalo app, which is connected with Call Center 1022 under the Danang Public Service Center, will enable tourists to find extra information, such as public transportation schedules.

Meanwhile, the app Chatbot Danang Fantasticity helps tourists stay updated on current and future events taking place in the coastal city. It even shows them ways to reach their favorite activities, so they can arrange their itineraries more conveniently.

Aiming to open up more information channels to support tourists, the municipal Department of Tourism has collaborated with the technology firm Hekate in developing the Chatbot Danang Fantasticity app, which is the first automatic search tool based on text messaging specifically targeting tourism in Vietnam.

Call Center 1022 provides free instructions for locals and enterprises seeking to perform any of over 2,000 types of administrative procedures. It also functions as a hotline, receiving all complaints about problems arising in the city.

Besides activities assisting tourists, the municipal authorities plan to hold the Danang Book Fair II to serve bookworms in the area.

The second book fair this year is set to kick off on June 15 at the General Sciences Library of Danang City at 46 Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District. The three-day fair will be attended by four publishing houses and companies with 14 booths.

Apart from introducing new books, many exchange activities and workshops will take place, such as meeting well-known authors and poets, book signings or music exchange programs among clubs, calligraphy, storytelling, painting contests and English exchange activities with native teachers of the language center ApaxEnglish.
