Toyota concert celebrates Vietnam-Japan ties

Vietnamese and Japanese artists will perform at the Special Toyota Concert 2018 on July 13 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries - PHOTO: VNA

HCMC - The Special Toyota Concert 2018 will be held at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi on July 13 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties, according to the Government news website.

The concert will be a fine combination of Vietnamese and international music in a new style, featuring famous concertos including Symphony No. 9 in E minor, From the New World and Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 by Antonin Drovak.

The concert, led by Japanese conductor Testuji Honna, will feature talented cello soloist Miyata Dai of Japan and Vietnamese artists.

Jointly held by Toyota Motor Vietnam and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, the program is aimed to strengthen the relationship and promote cultural cooperation between the two countries.

This is the 21st edition of the annual Toyota Concert funded by Toyota Vietnam Foundation, which was first held in 1998.
