HCMC – Mai Linh Corporation, or Mai Linh, signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with LietVietPostBank on July 12 to develop and use the products and services of both enterprises, cooperate in technology activities, enhance their businesses and promote marketing programs.

Under the agreement, Mai Linh will cooperate with LienVietPostBank in all business fields to foster efficiency.

The bank will provide Mai Linh with credit products and services, digital-banking application and payment account services and will also support the corporation in applying hi-tech apps, among other things. Besides this, LienVietPostBank will use the traditional taxi operator’s transport services, advertising its own products and services in Mai Linh taxis.

LienVietPostBank and Mai Linh currently have branches in Vietnam's 63 provinces and cities. The cooperation between the two is intended to improve customer service.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Mai Linh Chairman Ho Huy noted that Mai Linh was developing sustainably, based on advanced technology. In the next few years, the corporation, in addition to providing taxi services, will expand to the commercial, tourism, logistics, training, export and labor sectors, Huy stressed, adding that Mai Linh aimed to recruit one million drivers for the Mai Linh Bike service to create jobs for traditional motorbike and taxi drivers and students.

Nguyen Dinh Thang, chairman of LienVietPostBank, highlighted the importance of technology in business, trailed by network and service quality, asserting that the cooperation agreement was focused on both financial services and providing support for the application and development of technology.

LienVietPostBank reportedly has digital banking systems that can further Mai Linh’s business goals.

On July 12, Mai Linh celebrated its 25th anniversary. Since its establishment, the corporation has grown into a large group, with 30,000 employees and 15,000 taxicabs. Mai Linh is also present in four large island districts of the country -- Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Ly Son and Cat Ba.

Apart from its main transport service, the corporation also operates in maintenance, car rental, advertising and tourism services.
