HCMC - Furama Resort Danang in conjunction with Surf Life Saving Club has presented Nipper Certificates 2018 to more than 70 children aged from 5 to 15. They are children of Furama's employees or come from S.O.S Village Danang.

The three-month Nipper course which started in late May and was held every Sunday offered children an opportunity to develop physical skills on land and in water and have fun at the beach through exciting team-building activities such as water skiing and rescue in a safe way.

The children were directly instructed by international volunteers Shane Day and Sarah Day together with Furama’s professional lifeguards Dang Van Hien and Le Thanh Nghia.

The Nipper program is divided into three levels. Level 1 teaches beginners how to save themselves in case of underwater accidents; Level 2 provides various skills of swimming and helps children become more proficient in water; and Level 3 equips children who are competent in swimming with crucial steps to save others in case an underwater accident occurs.

Furama has been one of the leading resorts in providing water safety and rescue training in Vietnam over the past 10 years. In addition to Nipper, Furama Resort Danang has also organized Safe Swimming and Self-rescue Swimming programs free of charge for children who stay at the resort with their parents.
