HCMC - Al Fresco’s Group (AFG) in coordination with Castelo Group HK and Wolf Blass will hold the 2018 International Rugby Tournament-Wolf Blass Saigon Rugby 10s at RMIT University in HCMC on September 15 and 16.

In its fourth consecutive year, the tournament continues to grow, with 38 teams from more than 10 countries taking part. The Grade A competition will see 17 teams battle it out for honors whilst there will be 16 teams taking to the field in the Veteran’s competition.

Vietnam is now truly on the map for touring international rugby teams, with many of the teams seeing it as an opportunity to not only play rugby, but also to investigate the beauty of this country with extended holidays.

Whilst the sporting action is over two days, most teams will arrive on Friday evening. The entertainment starts as they converge on the Equatorial Hotel in District 5 for a meet and greet pool party.

The event will also again be a family friendly affair on Saturday and Sunday, where a supervised kids zone will allow the parents some time to take in the games knowing that the kids are being well cared for.

Saturday is when the majority of round robin games are played, but due to the great number of participants this year, some of them spill over to Sunday morning.

The Wolf Blass Saigon 10’s is not just an event of international rugby, it is a great couple of days out for the whole family.

Entrance is free and the action starts from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at RMIT’s stadium, 702 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7.
