HCMC - The SOS Children’s Villages Vietnam has launched the third Jar of Love campaign with the message “Small contributions, big changes” to seek patrons for nearly 3,000 orphaned, abandoned and other vulnerable children currently living in 17 SOS Children’s Villages across the country.

Instead of calling for sponsors for each child, the campaign has been seeking long-term sponsors for each SOS family which consists of 6-10 children since 2017, aiming to ensure equal and thorough care for the children.

Every person can be a patron by donating VND300,000 per month. The contribution is used to meet expenses including food, clothing, school fees, and medical care for the children.

Sponsorship registration can be done at or via 0989.73 77 33/(028) 6682 2068 from now until the end of this year.

Last year’s campaign, with the support of meritorious artist Thanh Loc and MC Phan Anh, attracted more than 1,000 donors. This year, MC Hoang Anh has been picked as ambassador of the campaign.

Guided by a basic principle: a loving home for every child, the SOS Children's Villages Vietnam has been providing children in need with a caring, loving, and secure family environment where all their needs from food, health, shelter, and education are met since it was established in 1987.

A typical Children’s Village has 10-15 families, with each having 6-10 children and taken care of by an SOS mother. The village often includes a nursery school, a primary school, a medical center or a social center.

The SOS Children’s Villages Vietnam also keeps families together through skills training and community development to ensure self sufficiency and prevent child abandonment.
