Property developer Novaland has launched its new project in the high-end segment - a complex of service and commercial properties and residential apartments called The Grand Manhattan in District 1, HCMC. Together with luxurious resort projects which will be introduced soon, Novaland Group is striving to prepare resources in a bid to realize its international vision in the coming period.

Special manpower development strategy

In addition to the Grand Manhattan project, Novaland has been developing more than 40 other projects, such as urban areas, apartments, villas and commercial houses, to meet the increasing demands of customers. Novaland’s projects boast an absorption rate of at least 94%.

In alignment with the country’s tourism development strategy, Novaland has plans to develop resort projects in cities and provinces with strong potential for tourism development, such as Can Tho, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Phan Thiet City in Binh Thuan Province, and Cam Ranh City in Khanh Hoa Province, to help the country have destinations meeting international standards.

To underpin sustainable business growth, Novaland has drawn up a sound manpower development plan in the last few years. The NovaGroup Leadership Center has offered more than 100 professional and soft skill training courses for Novaland’s managers, supervisors and staff. Last year, 57 of Novaland’s managers completed the mini Master of Business Administration course and the number will increase to more than 100 in the years to come. They are the core workforce of the group.

Notably, Novaland has invested heavily in its workforce of consultants despite costliness. These consultants can provide accurate information to customers. Novaland has focused on recruiting and training consultants who are truthful and professional as well as work effectively.

Reaching international standards

With the vision “a world-class real estate group”, Novaland has ceaselessly updated international practices and trends and is looking to 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. Novaland Group has also aimed to achieve other international standards, such as principles of corporate governance of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and high scores in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.

In reality, Novaland has invested millions of U.S. dollars in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system called SAP to support the group’s operations, ensure the data security and control standards, and develop an effective and professional corporate governance system in line with international standards. The SAP ERP system will assist the group to apply technologies in the coming period, bringing about added value to customers and the firm itself.

Sustainable community development

Since the date of establishment, Novaland founders have attached importance to social activities to contribute to the social development. Novaland’s corporate social responsibility activities are mainly centered on four fields, namely social well-being, community health, education and community development.

In the last five years, Novaland has allocated some VND256 billion for community activities, making life better for a large number of people. In 2018 alone, the group has got involved in multiple activities aimed at the sustainable community development, such as building eight bridges worth VND17.7 billion in rural areas in Dong Thap and Long An provinces, accompanying the "Drinkable water for school" program by providing 693 water filters and 334 water tanks valued at more than VND6 billion for 52 schools in Thanh Phu District, Ben Tre Province, and 27 other schools in Tan Tru District, Long An Province, donating VND1 billion to the development fund of Vietnam National University, HCMC, and co-founding the primary school “Understanding of the heart” in Dak Nong Province.
