HCMC - Health and beauty products firm Amway Vietnam in coordination with the National Nutrition Institute under the Ministry of Health launched the fourth Nutrilite Power of 5 charity campaign at Cam Binh Kindergarten in Thanh Hoa Province on October 31.

From now until January 2019, Amway will provide more than 2,500 malnourished children aged between three and five at six kindergartens in the province’s Cam Thuy District with Nutrilite Little Bits micronutrient supplement that contains 15 essential vitamins and nutrients, helping the children grow and develop their brain and body.

Before Thanh Hoa, Amway Vietnam had distributed nearly 420,000 Nutrilite Little Bits products to some 4,200 children in Bac Giang and Lao Cai provinces. The company also conducted nutrition education activities in mountainous and remote areas where malnutrition is widespread.

Huynh Thien Trieu, Country Manager at Amway Vietnam, said in a statement that the company is committed to improving health in local communities, especially among children. “With the support of the National Nutrition Institute, we believe that Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign will significantly contribute to helping disadvantaged children in remote and poverty-stricken areas gain access to essential nutrients,” he said.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Lam, a representative of the National Institute of Nutrition, said Nutrilite Power of 5 is a great community program that has benefited thousands of children across the country, adding that the institute will boost cooperation with Amway as well as other health units to promote the development of the physical stature of Vietnamese children.

Debuted in 2014, the Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign is Amway’s social activity aiming to raise public awareness of malnutrition among children by providing daily micronutrient supplements to kids.

The company has set a target of working with humanitarian organizations in 20 countries around the globe by the end of 2019 to prevent malnutrition for 500,000 children aged from seven months old to 15 years old.
