HCMC - Hoang Khai, owner of the premier Vietnamese silk brand Khaisilk, which was forced to shut down all of its outlets last year following prosecution for trade fraud, has transferred the rights to manage and operate the Cham Charm restaurant and TajmaSago castle at 2 and 6 Phan Van Chuong Street in HCMC’s District 7 to Chloe Hospitality Group.

According to Thanh Nien newspaper, the two properties have been renamed Chloe Gallery. They will be used as venues for conventions and banquets, as well as art, fashion and entertainment events.

Chloe Hospitality Managing Director Nguyen Dinh Toan confirmed that the group had taken over the two buildings for two months and was in the process of upgrading them.

TajmaSago castle has been repainted in white and yellow to replace the current white and blue paint. Chloe Hospitality has also replaced the furniture in the castle and has widened the garden to serve outdoor events.

Meanwhile, the appearance of Cham Charm restaurant will be kept unchanged, but its furniture will be replaced to match the new business plan.

Chloe Hospitality will complete the renovation of the two buildings later this month, Toan added.

He confirmed that his group has leased the two properties, but he refused to reveal the rental fees.

TajmaSago castle and Cham Charm restaurant are assets of Phu My Hung Development Corporation. It allowed Khai to furnish and utilize the two buildings, noted a representative of the corporation.

In addition, a land lot in District 7, where Khai had developed Saigon Paragon commercial and office complex, also belongs to the corporation, the representative added.
