Saigon Tiep Thi organizes yoga photo contest

HCMC - Saigon Tiep Thi, a publication of the Saigon Times Group, has organized a photo contest titled “Yoga Moments” for people who love and practice yoga to promote a sporting spirit and a healthy lifestyle.

The contest started on November 5, 2018 on www.sgtiepthi.vn and attracted hundreds of entries. After two months with six qualifying rounds, six individuals and four teams entered the final round which required yoga photos with the theme of nature. The photos were judged based on three criteria – technique, creativity and votes from Saigon Tiep Thi’s readers.

The judges were yoga experts including yoga trainer Anirban Majumdar, director of Yoganir Vietnam; Bui Chau Dao, director of Yoga Daily; Thai Thanh Huong, director of Maya Yoga; Nguyen Dinh Bao, yoga manager at Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center; and singer Nguyen Phi Hung.

The first prize winners were Tran Thi Thu from Dong Nai Province with the photo “Vu Dieu Thien Nhien” (Dance of Nature) in the individual category and Mai Thi Thuy Binh’s team from Hanoi with the photo “Diep Khuc Xanh” (Green Song) in the group category.

Thu won a one-year membership at Fit24 Fitness And Yoga Center and a voucher from Bong Spa, with a total value of VND14 million, while Binh’s team won VND16 million, including a voucher from Bong Spa for each member and a one-year membership at Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center.

In the group category, the second prize worth VND13 million, including a VND500,000 voucher from Bong Spa for each member and a six-month membership at Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center, went to Anindita Ngoc Anh’s team from Long Thanh Yoga Club. Two consolation prizes including a pair of Biti’s Hunter shoes and a voucher worth VND500,000 from Bong Spa for each member were awarded to Do Thi Tuyet Nhung’s team and Woman’s Super team.

In the individual category, the second prize worth VND10 million, including a VND500,000 voucher from Bong Spa and a six-month membership at Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center, went to Chau Thi Khanh Doan and four consolation prizes, each of which included a pair of Biti’s Hunter shoes and a voucher worth VND500,000 from Bong Spa, were awarded to Luu Nguyen Y Nhi, Nguyen Thi Cam Linh, Nguyen Hong Tham, and Vo Kim Yen.

Nguyen Mong Binh, managing editor at Saigon Tiep Thi, said encouraging a sporting spirit and a healthy lifestyle among readers is one of the magazine’s missions. Saigon Tiep Thi will continue to carry out similar events in the future.

The “Yoga Moments” contest was sponsored by Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center as main sponsor, together with Kaly Health and Skin, Biti’s Hunter, Wow bite, Nong Lam Food, Ngoc Dung beauty salon chain, The Body Shop, Freshskin Spa, and Bong Spa.

To wrap up the contest, Saigon Tiep Thi hosted the “Health and Beauty with Yoga Moments 2018” event on January 13 at Fit24 Fitness and Yoga Center’s Ba Thang Hai branch with exciting yoga activities and performances.

At the event, yogis had a chance to learn from each other as well as professional yoga trainers. The event was also attended by Mrs Universe 2018 Chau Ngoc Bich, who came to share her beauty tips with yoga.

Singer Nguyen Phi Hung, one of the contest’s judges, and ABC Kids band entertained participants with explosive music performances.
