Metro Line No.1 can be complete by 2020

Hanoi residents stop blocking garbage trucks

Residents living near the Nam Son dump site in Hanoi’s Soc Son District on January 14 stopped blocking garbage trucks, paving the way for the handling of thousands of tons of garbage piling up in the city, the local media reported, citing Soc Son vice chairman Do Minh Tuan.

Thua Thien-Hue plans more int’l flights to promote tourism

Labor issues may hinder EVFTA signing

The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) may not be signed as soon as expected because Vietnam has yet to deal with key labor issues, the International Labor Organization (ILO) told the media in HCMC on January 14. ILO country director for Vietnam Chang Hee Lee said that the EVFTA might go before the European Parliament in March.

Tet bus tickets still abound

More than 81,700 bus tickets for the peak Tet travel season have been sold by about 50 coach operators at Mien Dong Coach Station, but some 81,000 tickets are still unsold, Nguyen Hoang Huy, deputy director of the station said.
