Regulation on education of tourism company leaders suspended

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has written to local tourism authorities asking them not to check the educational conditions of tourism company leaders until the end of quarter two this year, Thanh Nien newspaper reported.

Vinasun appeals court ruling over Grab’s compensation

Following Grab, HCMC-based taxi operator Vinasun has filed an appeal against the ruling of the HCMC People’s Court that did not compel Grab to pay VND36.3 billion (US$1.6 million) in compensation to Vinasun, Thanh Nien Online newspaper reported, citing the ruling of the HCMC People’s Court.

Sanctions sought for violators at metro line No. 1 project

The HCMC government has asked the municipal Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with other relevant departments and agencies to propose punishments for individuals and organizations involved in violations at the first metro line project in the city, in line with the conclusions of the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) after auditing the project, the local media reported.

Mai Linh offers taxi fare payment service

Mai Linh Corporation, a traditional taxi operator, and LietVietPostBank on January 16 jointly launched a new taxi fare payment mode using Vi Viet e-wallet. The taxi operator’s customers may make fare payments by bank card or MCC card, which is issued by Mai Linh, or in cash.
