Rex Hotel Saigon introduces Mi Quang

HCMC - Cung Dinh Restaurant of the five-star Rex Hotel Saigon, a unit of Saigontourist Holding Company, has introduced Mi Quang (Quang-style noodle soup), which has been known as a specialty of the central province of Quang Nam.

In Mi Quang, rice noodles are made meticulously, making the dish different from other kinds of noodle soup.

The broth is strongly flavored and used with a small amount. It is made by simmering meat and pig bones in water. In addition, the dish may be served with one or more types of meat such as pork, chicken, shrimp, snakehead, frog or eel.

Mi Quang can go well with fresh herbs and vegetables like sliced banana flower and water mint. Peanuts, toasted sesame rice crackers, scallion, melon, garlic and chili are also integral ingredients.

As for nutritional values, Mi Quang ensures sufficient contents of protein, fiber and fat.
