HCMC – Kien Giang Province's government has added three projects, at a cost of over VND4.8 trillion, to the list of projects in need of investment on Phu Quoc Island in 2019.

Under the decision, signed by Kien Giang Chairman Pham Vu Hong, the three projects include An Thoi Villa Area covering 52.5 hectares of land in An Thoi Town; a villa, commercial and service complex covering an area of 11.24 hectares at Bai Truong Beach in Duong To Commune; and a waste treatment plant with a capacity of over 350 tons of waste per day in Ham Ninh Commune.

The provincial government will select investors via tenders for the three projects needing funding of VND3.4 trillion, VND1.06 trillion and VND372 billion, respectively. Accordingly, the investment sum per hectare at the three projects will be VND65 billion, VND95 billion and VND25 billion.

Known as Pearl Island, Phu Quoc is attracting the majority of tourism investment projects in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.
