HCMC – Grab Vietnam’s latest feature allows its users to book shuttle bus tickets on the app for travel between HCMC and Vung Tau City with cashless payments, starting from October 14, marking another step forward in preparing for Industry 4.0.

Grab launched the new service on a trial basis so that its business partners can gradually perfect the service.

During the pilot operation, Grab will collaborate with shuttle bus service provider Avigo to operate 24 daily trips to serve customers who want to travel on the route linking HCMC-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the neighboring city of Vung Tau.

The ride-hailing firm is also set to partner with another bus service provider, City View, to operate 44 daily trips between District 7 and District 1 by the end of the year.

Grab users can choose available travel routes, view travel itineraries, update the location of the bus and make payments with the Moca e-wallet on the Grab app or with credit and debit cards. After the transaction is complete, passengers need only present their etickets to get on the bus.

For Grab’s bus service providers, the new feature enables them to access the user base of Grab and enhance their business effectiveness and sales with the app’s technology.
