Vietnam’s 122nd Covid-19 patient returns from Thailand

HCMC - The Ministry of Health has just confirmed the country’s 122nd coronavirus case, making it the ninth infection today, March 23. This patient returned to the country from Thailand.

The 24-year-old female patient, a resident of the north-central province of Ha Tinh, is an employee at a pub in Bangkok and had close contact with many people, the local media reported.

After entering Vietnam through Danang International Airport on March 20, the patient was taken to a centralized quarantine center in the city.

The result of her test specimens taken by the Danang Center for Disease Control came back positive for the virus, which causes the Covid-19 disease.

Earlier, several returnees from Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia had been reported to have caught the coronavirus.
