Trungnam, SANY ink equipment purchase contract deal

Trungnam Group and SANY International Development Company (SANY) on May 7 performed a signing ceremony of equipment purchase contracts for renewable energy projects created by Trungnam Group.

Maintaining the spirit of fighting the epidemic of Covid-19 under the direction of the Prime Minister, the signing ceremony at Trung Nam Building in HCMC was conducted online, applying electronic signing technology to connect the partners in different countries.

The contract between Trungnam Group and SANY is worth US$67 million, equivalent to VND1,500 billion, to purchase 57 cranes, of which 11 are super-load cranes and super-cranes - reaching over 100 m and lifting capacity of 800-1600 tons; 23 large cranes - reaching less than 100 m and loading less than 500 tons, and 23 medium cranes (less than 50 m).  

As the No. 1 investment company in Vietnam's clean energy sector, with the aim to put 2000MW of wind power into operation for the next 3 years in Tra Vinh, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Ninh Thuan, the investment in specialized mechanical equipment not only expresses the determination in project deployment, financial potentials of Trungnam Group, but also shows the company's commitment to the renewable energy projects in provinces where energy projects are being deployed or will be deployed in the future.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nguyen Tam Tien, general director of Trungnam Group, said the signing of a great value contract demonstrates the determination of Trungnam Group to develop energy projects in localities across the country as well as its commitment to the energy sector, contributing to the national energy security and affirming its position as the leading renewable energy investor in Vietnam.

Speaking online, Xu Qing Wei, SANY Group's general director, affirmed: “The order of 57 cranes worth US$67 million will be an impressive event for SANY's internationalization path, which will significantly increase SANY's influence and lay a solid foundation for SANY Group to make a bigger breakthrough in Vietnam market.”

Leaders of the two companies jointly implemented the web-based contract-signing ceremony to comply with the regulations on prevention and control of Covid19.
