Seven people returning from Europe positive for Covid-19

HCMC - The Ministry of Health today reported seven new Covid-19 cases, who are Vietnamese returning from Europe, taking the country’s tally to 349.

The patients, two females and five males aged between six and 52, returned to Vietnam from Sweden and Finland on flight VN2 on June 6. After arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, they were taken to a quarantine center in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

Five of them reside in Hanoi and two others in Quang Ninh and Nghe An provinces. The patients are under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

They were found negative for Covid-19 in the first test on June 7. They were tested for Covid-19 again on June 18 and the results turned positive.

A 31-year-old male Covid-19 patient in HCMC recovered from the disease today. Up to now, 326 patients have recovered, while there have been no new cases in the community for 64 consecutive days in Vietnam.
