Must read

HCMC – The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on September 18 broke ground on the Tran Hoang Na Bridge, which spans the Can Tho River and connects the two districts of Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang.

The project requires VND791 billion in investment, financed by official development assistance loans and the construction is expected to take 22 months.

With a length of 600 meters and a width of 23 meters, the bridge has a designed maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

Dao Anh Dung, vice chairman of the municipal government, said the bridge is a key project under the city’s development scheme. This is the first bridge for which the city collected feedback from various agencies so its architectural design allows the smooth flow of traffic and makes it an iconic project in the city.

The bridge will help smooth the flow of traffic between National Highway 1A and the city’s major roads as well as ease traffic congestion during rush hour.
