HCMC - Panasonic Vietnam has awarded 15 scholarships worth VND2 million each to full-time students at universities across the country, taking the total value of the scholarships awarded in Vietnam to more than VND52 billion after 16 years of implementation.

Panasonic Scholarship is an annual program launched in 2004 to support talented students who are constantly striving to improve themselves and contributing to the development of the society.

This year, the Panasonic 2020 Scholarship Program started in April 2020 and was expanded to include students across all majors and universities nationwide. The Office of Panasonic Scholarship in Vietnam received a new record of up to 400 applicants from nearly 30 universities.

Besides financial support, the students will also be given the opportunity to develop soft skills through training sessions or gain access to cutting-edge technology and professional work environments through internships at the Panasonic Vietnam Group’s companies.

Addressing the scholarship presentation ceremony at the Panasonic Risupia Vietnam Center, the representative of the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University highly appreciated Panasonic’s support to students during these difficult circumstances and strongly welcomed its move to nurture young talent.

Besides the annual scholarship program, Panasonic Vietnam has been implementing various activities to socially contribute to the field of education and human resources development, such as collaboration with universities to provide soft-skills training for students and cooperation in training and recruitment with universities of science and technology majors.
