HCMC - Following the success of the previous years, the “Clothes Swap” program returned to Hanoi on November 15 this year with a new name, “Clothes Swap & Plogging”, to spread the sustainable Swedish thinking and lifestyle and enable participants to refresh their wardrobe.

Clothes swap is a widely known concept in Sweden, which encourages people to shop more economically and add new items to their wardrobe by exchanging their own with that of others.

Yesterday’s event, organized by the Swedish Alumni Network in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy and the Vietnam Youth Academy, also featured the plogging activity, which means jogging while picking up trash, to raise people's awareness over waste pollution and create a habit of protecting the environment.

The event offered an opportunity for people in Hanoi, especially alumni from Sweden and students from universities, to connect with each other and together develop a greener, more sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

On the same day, the Sweden Alumni Network Vietnam and the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam jointly organized the “Eco Fika” program, where participants discussed green living.

“Fika” in Swedish means a place where people can enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea and talk to each another.

During the event, which was supported by the Swedish Institute, participants shared knowledge about a sustainable lifestyle and how to choose products wisely in order to protect the environment and experienced the "connecting with the Earth" moment.

The event was led by guest speaker Dang An, founder of Sap Hang Chang Sen, who has many years of experience in helping hotels and restaurants minimize the amount of single use plastic products.
