HCMC – As many as 14 patients who have recovered from Covid-19 are expected to be discharged from hospital today, April 10, while no new cases were found this morning, stated the Health Ministry.
Four hospitals in Hanoi and Bac Ninh in the north and Danang and Binh Thuan in the central region will release the 14 patients.
To date, the country’s total number of confirmed cases remains at 255, with 158 being imported cases. Further, 142 cases have made a full recovery.
At a meeting on April 9, the prime minister tasked the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control and the Health Ministry with conducting evaluations of the pandemic’s development in the country and reporting to the Government to determine whether the nationwide social distancing order should be extended after April 15, the ministry added.
Also, the Government leader continued to advise overseas Vietnamese citizens not to return to Vietnam before April 15, excluding special cases.
The prime minister demanded that the competent agencies continue to monitor the operations of flights, except for cargo-only flights and repatriation flights approved by him to bring home Vietnamese nationals stranded abroad. Also, flight restrictions on domestic routes are still in place.
