HCMC – As many as 48 Covid-19 patients have taken a turn for the worse, with one of them in critical condition and near death, according to the Subcommittee of Treatment under the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Infection Prevention and Control.

A prognosis for Covid-19 patients receiving treatment at hospitals nationwide indicated that 34 patients became ill, 13 others were seriously ill and another was in critical condition and near death, said the subcommittee.

The national hospital for tropical diseases in Hanoi City is seeing the biggest number of seriously ill Covid-19 patients at 32, Tuoi Tre Online reported.

The Danang Lung Hospital is treating two ill Covid-19 patients who are receiving oxygen support, while the Lang Son Lung Hospital and the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases have two and one, respectively.
