In the last few days of May, many colleagues from India, Honduras, and Nigeria among others came to Vietnam for admission to the Medical Faculty of the Hong Bang International University (HIU). This event marked a significant milestone for the Vietnamese education, especially for the University, which has gradually become a school of choice for international students, moving forward to educational export service and marking the trustworthy development of medical training in Vietnam.
“Education exports” worldwide
In the past ten years, calling on international students to come to Vietnam to enrich their education or graduation has been a peculiar topic. However, positive changes have been seen when many international colleagues recently chose Vietnam as one of their priority venues to study abroad. In 2022, HIU has welcomed more than thirty Indian scholars to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Study lectured entirely in English, and other international colleagues from Honduras, Nigeria, and Russia who joined in Healthcare major. Especially HIU has just granted Hypocrates scholarship for Ana Rebeca Muñoz Tejada, born in 2002 and comes from the Republic of Honduras, a country in Central America.
MA Quyen Tram Thuy Tran, Vice President of HIU, reiterated that the ultimate goal of becoming a school of choice for international students can be deemed “education exports” worldwide; and HIU has seen numerous groups of international students admitted to the school. International students who follow the training program in English will be able to develop their knowledge in line with the standards of the Vietnamese Education and the Vietnamese Health Ministry that facilitate higher training programs from developing countries in the world. Besides learning in class and at clinics, international students will also have an opportunity to learn Vietnamese and other remarkable Vietnamese cultural traits.

The school comprises various programs and majors, especially Health Science that concentrates on principal sectors, such as Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Nursing, Rehabilitation Techniques, and Medical Examination. These majors are currently lectured in 36 Vietnamese and English programs and correspondent affiliates worldwide in most essential sectors needed for social development.
