HCMC – The daughter of a Covid-19 patient, who is a food vendor in HCMC’s District 3, has been diagnosed with the virus, according to the HCMC Department of Health.
Alley 404 of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street in District 3, where she lives, has been put under lockdown, the local media reported.
The municipal Center for Disease Control informed that the patient had been quarantined since her mother was found to be infected with Covid-19 at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital as she was receiving treatment for chronic kidney failure there. She tested negative once for the coronavirus on May 20.
On May 24, she was running a fever, so she had her sample taken for another Covid-19 test and the result came back positive.
She was transferred to the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases last night for dialysis.
On May 23, an 18-month-old grandchild of the food vendor tested positive for Covid-19 while undergoing quarantine. Meanwhile, the child’s parents have tested negative for the virus twice.
Thus, four people linked to the food vendor have got the virus.
