HCMC – As the coronavirus pandemic is expected to continue, the public should practice precautionary measures to remain healthy and safe amid this public health crisis, said Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam at a recent meeting.
Vietnam has entered the third stage of preventing and controlling the spread of the new coronavirus, with three critical missions to be carried out: remain fully alert to the disease; make preparations to live with the pandemic; and step up positive adjustments in society, Thanh Nien newspaper reported.
All of the efforts to prevent the spread of the disease, as well as to detect and isolate areas having a possible risk of being struck by the virus, and to provide medical treatment for Covid-19 patients, must ensure the full compliance with the Government’s directives, he said during the meeting of the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control on April 17.
Measures to prevent imported cases must remain in place, but the country will concurrently take steps to promote the nation’s socioeconomic growth in the near future, the official said.
Further, the deputy PM noted that not only provinces and cities have been divided into groups at risk of developing Covid-19, but administrative units at grassroots levels will be subject to these classification, as well.
The Health Ministry will also issue guidelines for localities to carry out classification measures.
