As of September 1, 116,337 Covid-19 patients in the city have been discharged from hospital. Nam said they have antibodies after recovery and can be immune to Covid-19 for a certain period.

The competent agencies will conduct Covid-19 tests for them one week and one month after they are released from hospital to assess their antibody levels. If they have a high antibody level, the city will call on them to take part in the anti-Covid fight.

At the press conference, Pham Duc Hai, deputy head of the municipal steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control, informed that the city is treating more than 41,000 Covid-19 cases, including over 2,700 patients put on a ventilator and 19 others relying on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
