HCMC – As the HCMC government is enforcing the stay-at-home mandate to slow the spread of Covid-19, city residents cannot go out for shopping. Grassroots authorities and organizations have mobilized volunteers to do the shopping on behalf of people in need. For instance, the Women’s Union of Ward 9 in District 5 has been carrying out the assisted shopping scheme to meet the demand for essential items, especially food and foodsutffs.
This video features a typical day of volunteers who are joining teams in charge of doing the shopping on behalf of local residents during the social distancing time.
